Primož Zvir was born on the 28.5.1982 in Celje to mother Bernarda and father Jože. Primož's home lies in the beautiful Upper Savinja Valley in a small village called Šentjanž. He grew up surrounded by fresh farm air in the village Prihova, where he helped on the farm and fooled around with his older brother Uroš.

 

His flair for musik and the accordion was discovered in the family circle where everybody was fond of playing. But the real wish for studying and performing on the ''frajtonarca'' was awaken by his uncle Jože, who replaced the piano accordion with the ''frajton''. Primož got his first accordion when he was thirteen and started to take lessons from his first teacher Darko Atelšek, who he carefully listened to and imitated. His talent was comfirmed only three and a half years later, when he received the Golden plaqette of Ljubečna.

 

On the path of studying, Primož met his second instructor Robert Goter. Robert had improved his knowledge so far, that Primož himself is a succesfull teacher today.

 

''Savinjski muzikantje'' were the first ensemble Primož joined in 2000. The five-headed crew published the CD ''Tam je najlepše''. Three years later he performed on the audition of the Austrian band ''Die Jauntaler'' and enraptured both, the Slovene as well as foreign public. Till today he performed with the same band on twelve big concerts ''Wenn die Musi spielt'', where he accompanied big music artists such as Dj Őtzi, Hansi Hinterseer, Petra Frei,… In the years 2004 and 2005 the ensemble was ranked in the finale of the biggest Austrian volksmusic festival ''Grand Prix der Volksmusik''. They have also been guests at the Alpean evening in Bled two times. The band is well-known and regulary appears on television programs ORF, ZDF, Pro7, MDR, BR, ARD, Heimatkanal, Pro7Sat.1, Welt,… In 2006 the band beared their music over the Atlantic to the city of lights and money- Las Vegas.

 

As teacher of young and young by heart, Primož established the Accordion orcestra of Primož Zvir, together with his assiduous students in 2006.. He performed with the orcestra on two own concerts ''Zaigraj frajtonar'ca'', which had become an every-year tradition on the end of each school year.

 

In the future and with the same pleasure Primož intends to carry over his knowledge on everyone anxious and interested, to continue performing and acting with the band. With the orcestra, he wishes to record ad CD and present it on national television and other occasions. One of his future projects is also recording an own CD.
